Product Features
At room temperature, OA-1214 is a colorless to pale yellow, transparent, viscous liquid with a density of approximately 0.996 g/mL (20℃). It is readily soluble in water and polar organic solvents (such as ethanol), while only slightly soluble in non-polar organic solvents. It exhibits nonionic properties under neutral or alkaline conditions (pH≥7) and cationic properties under acidic conditions (pH<7). OA-1214 demonstrates excellent compatibility with cationic, anionic, and nonionic surfactants.
Characterized by its mildness and low irritation, OA-1214 effectively reduces the irritation caused by anionic surfactants in detergent formulations. It offers outstanding foaming performance, generating abundant foam with superior foam-stabilizing capabilities. OA-1214 combines multiple functions, including thickening, antistatic, softening, emulsifying, detergency, and lime soap dispersion.
Application
Personal Care and Home Care: Primarily used in shampoos, body washes, facial cleansers, etc., as a foam booster, foam stabilizer, and conditioning agent. It imparts softness to hair, making it easier to comb.
Household and Industrial Cleaning: Used in dishwashing liquids and hard-surface cleaners (e.g., for bathrooms and building exteriors), providing thickening, irritation reduction, and synergistic effects. Also applied in industrial pipeline cleaning.
Other Fields: Used in industrial liquid bleach systems (peroxide, hypochlorite) to enhance product compatibility and overall stability.
Pesticide Adjuvants: Functions as a pesticide emulsifier.
Safety and Storage
From a safety perspective, OA-1214 is irritating to the skin and eyes. Strict personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn during handling to avoid direct contact.
In case of skin or eyes contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes and seek medical assistance.
It should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated indoor place, protected from moisture and strictly guarded against exposure to sunlight.
