Product Features

The physical state of LAO at room temperature depends on its concentration, presenting as a colorless to pale yellow liquid. It is hygroscopic and integrates multiple functions including thickening, antistatic, softening, detergency, and lime soap dispersion. LAO is readily soluble in water and polar organic solvents. Under acidic conditions (pH<7), it exhibits cationic properties, while under alkaline conditions (pH>7), it displays nonionic characteristics. It demonstrates good compatibility with anionic, cationic, and nonionic surfactants.

LAO offers efficient thickening performance that is unaffected by acids and hard water. It is widely compatible with other types of surfactants, significantly enhancing the overall performance of formulations. Additionally, it provides high foam-boosting and foam-stabilizing effects, as well as excellent conditioning and antistatic properties.

Application

LAO serves as a viscosity modifier, foam stabilizer, and foam booster, making it suitable for formulating products such as dishwashing detergents, shampoos, bath gels, baby cleansers, facial washes, and hard-surface cleaners. The recommended dosage is 3.0% to 6.0%.

In the textile industry, LAO functions as a fabric softener, imparting a soft hand feel to textiles and providing certain antistatic effects.

Safety and Storage

From a safety perspective, LAO is irritating to the skin and eyes. Strict personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn during handling to avoid direct contact.

In case of skin or eyes contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes and seek medical assistance.

It should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated indoor place, protected from moisture and strictly guarded against exposure to sunlight.
