Product Features
At room temperature, BS-18 is a colorless to pale yellow transparent viscous liquid. It is readily soluble in water and exhibits good solubility. Under acidic conditions (low pH), it displays cationic properties, while under alkaline conditions (high pH) it shows anionic behavior. This allows it to be stably compatible with various surfactants over a wide pH range.
BS-18 integrates multiple functions, including cleaning, disinfection, softening, and rust prevention. It can be used to enhance the cleaning efficacy of heavy‑duty degreasers. The product also demonstrates good thickening performance and is suitable for thickening anion‑based cleaning formulations.
Application
Oilfield Industry: Used as an enhanced oil recovery agent to improve petroleum recovery rates.
Textile Industry: Employed as a fabric softener and antistatic agent, and also applied in wool milling processes.
Other Fields: Also serves as a metal surface treatment aid, rust inhibitor, and fire-fighting foam agent.
Safety and Storage
From a safety perspective, BS-18 is irritating to the skin and eyes. Strict personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn during handling to avoid direct contact.
In case of skin or eyes contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes and seek medical assistance.
It should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated indoor place, protected from moisture and strictly guarded against exposure to sunlight.
