Product Features

LHSB is a colorless to pale yellow transparent liquid under standard temperature and pressure. It exhibits excellent water solubility (approximately 520 g/L) and has a density of about 1.18 g/cm³ (20℃). LHSB demonstrates outstanding structural stability, with resistance to acids and alkalis, maintaining stability across a broad pH range and also tolerating high salt concentrations. Its molecular structure contains both anionic (sulfonate) and cationic (quaternary ammonium) groups, classifying it as a zwitterionic surfactant.

LHSB shows very low irritation to skin and eyes, making it highly suitable for formulating cleansing products for infants and sensitive skin. It possesses excellent foaming power and foam stability, producing fine foam, while also significantly thickening product systems. Even in hard water conditions, LHSB maintains good cleaning and foaming performance with minimal degradation. Additionally, it exhibits good conditioning, antistatic, and softening properties, enhancing the user experience in hair care and skincare formulations. LHSB is readily biodegradable in the environment, meeting environmental protection requirements.

Application

LHSB is a high-end surfactant widely used in the following fields:

Personal Cleaning and Care: Serves as a core ingredient in the formulation of mid-to-high-end shampoos, body washes, facial cleansers, and hand soaps. Due to its mildness, it is also an ideal choice for products such as baby shampoos and baby bubble baths.

Hair and Skin Conditioning Agent: In conditioners and skincare products, it acts as a softening and conditioning agent, improving hair combability and enhancing the smoothness of skin.

Functional Auxiliary: Can also be used as a wetting agent, thickener, antistatic agent, and antibacterial agent.

Safety and Storage

From a safety perspective, LHSB is irritating to the skin and eyes. Strict personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn during handling to avoid direct contact.

In case of skin or eyes contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes and seek medical assistance.

It should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated indoor place, protected from moisture and strictly guarded against exposure to sunlight.
