Product Features

D1817 appears as a white to slightly yellow paste, solid granules or flakes at room temperature, and its specific morphology is affected by purity and temperature. It has stable chemical properties but decomposes at high temperatures (>135). It exhibits excellent compatibility with cationic, nonionic and amphoteric surfactants. However, it is incompatible with anionic surfactants when directly compounded, as this will result in precipitation. D1817 has good emulsifying capacity for various oils, asphalt and other substances. It can also be used synergistically with various types of surfactants (except anionic ones).

Application

D1817 is an important cationic surfactant. It is mainly used as a coating agent for organic bentonite in the preparation of organoclay, featuring thickening and high temperature resistance properties, and is primarily applied in oilfield exploitation.

Safety and Storage

From a safety perspective, D1817 is irritating to the skin and eyes. Strict personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn during handling to avoid direct contact.

In case of skin or eyes contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes and seek medical assistance.

It should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated indoor place, protected from moisture and strictly guarded against exposure to sunlight.
