Product Features

120211 appears as a colorless to pale yellow transparent liquid at room temperature. It is readily soluble in water and alcoholic solvents such as ethanol. It possesses excellent penetration, emulsifying, softening, antistatic and bactericidal properties. The quaternary ammonium nitrogen atom in its molecule carries a positive charge and can be strongly adsorbed onto the surface of negatively charged substances, thereby exerting antistatic, softening and bactericidal effects. The hydroxyl groups in its molecular structure are hydrophilic groups, which enhance water solubility. Its Krafft point is below 0℃, meaning it has good solubility in low-temperature water and a wider range of applications. The compatibility of 120211 with anionic surfactants is improved, and it can produce foam synergism and thickening effects.

Application

Industrial Cleaning: It is widely used in metal surface cleaning, carbon steel cleaning, and cleaning of polycrystalline silicon and monocrystalline silicon, effectively removing contaminants by virtue of its emulsifying, penetrating and antistatic properties. It is currently commonly used as a hot-dip galvanizing additive: the galvanizing flux can remove oxides, iron salts and other impurities on the steel surface, ensuring the workpiece surface is clean and improving the contact activity between the zinc bath and the workpiece surface. Meanwhile, the galvanizing flux enhances the wetting ability of the zinc bath on the workpiece surface by reducing the surface tension between them, promoting the rapid formation of the zinc-iron alloy layer.

Textile Auxiliaries: It serves as an antistatic agent and softener in textile auxiliaries, replacing the traditional SN antistatic agent.

Daily Chemical and Disinfection & Sterilization Industries: It possesses excellent bactericidal, disinfectant, antistatic and emulsifying properties, and is used in formulating products such as medical hand sanitizers and disinfectants.

Other Industries: Dodecyl bis(hydroxyethyl)methyl ammonium chloride with high content (98%) is used as a phase transfer catalyst, catalyst in antioxidants, and metal extractant. Research has also been conducted on its application in the preparation of acrylic fiber levelling agents and solid catalysts for heterogeneous ozone oxidation.

Safety and Storage

From a safety perspective, 120211 is irritating to the skin and eyes. Strict personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn during handling to avoid direct contact.

In case of skin or eyes contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes and seek medical assistance.It should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated indoor place, protected from moisture and strictly guarded against exposure to sunlight.
