Product Features

1827 at high concentrations can appear as white needle-like crystals, pale yellow viscous paste, or white paste-like solid at ambient temperature, while at low concentrations it typically presents as a colorless to pale yellow paste-like liquid. It integrates multiple functions such as leveling, emulsification, thickening, and preservation. It is chemically stable, resistant to light and heat, and stable in weak acidic and alkaline environments. The compound demonstrates good compatibility with cationic and nonionic surfactants or dyes. However, it is incompatible with anionic surfactants (such as soap) or certain additives, as their combination may result in precipitation.

It exhibits excellent softening and antistatic properties, significantly improving the hand feel of fabrics and fibers while eliminating static electricity. It also possesses good bactericidal and disinfecting capabilities, effective against a variety of bacteria. The C18 alkyl chain imparts stronger hydrophobicity and adsorption capacity, leading to more persistent surface activity and antimicrobial efficacy.

Application

Textile Industry: Serves as a leveling agent for acrylic fibers dyed with cationic dyes, ensuring uniform dyeing and imparting a soft hand feel to fabrics; also used as a softening finishing agent for acetate fibers.

Household & Personal Care Products: Employed in the formulation of hair conditioner rinses, hair dyes, skin moisturizing, and cleansing products to provide softening and antistatic effects.

Industrial Water Treatment: Functions as a bactericide-algicide, slime stripper, and cleaning agent in industrial recirculating cooling water systems, exhibiting effective control against iron bacteria and similar microorganisms.

Other Industrial Applications: Used as a thickener in lubricating greases, a pharmaceutical-grade bactericide, a textile antistatic agent, a bentonite modifier, among other applications.

Safety and Storage

From a safety perspective, 1827 is irritating to the skin and eyes. Strict personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn during handling to avoid direct contact.

In case of skin or eyes contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes and seek medical assistance.

It should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated indoor place, protected from moisture and strictly guarded against exposure to sunlight.
