Reactive catalyst: The molecule of POLYCAT15-CAS6711-48-4 contains active secondary amine groups (N-H bonds). When used as a polyurethane catalyst, it can bond chemically to the matrix of the polymer, thereby reducing the volatilization of small molecule amines during the usage process, which helps to lower VOC emissions and the odor of the product.

Balanced catalytic properties: During the polyurethane foaming process, POLYCAT15-CAS6711-48-4 can well balance the foaming reaction (gas generation) and the gelation reaction (polymer chain growth), which is conducive to forming a uniform and high-performance foam structure.

Application

Polyurethane industry: This is its most important application field. POLYCAT15-CAS6711-48-4 is widely used as a reaction catalyst for the production of rigid polyurethane foam (such as building insulation materials), molded soft foam (such as car seats, sofa cushions), and semi-rigid foam. It can effectively regulate the balance of the foaming and curing processes.

Epoxy resin: POLYCAT15-CAS6711-48-4 can be used as a curing agent or curing accelerator for epoxy resins. It is often used in combination with acid anhydride-based curing agents, effectively reducing the curing temperature and improving the curing efficiency.

Textile auxiliaries: POLYCAT15-CAS6711-48-4 can be used as a synthetic organic silicon antibacterial moisture-absorbing softener in the textile auxiliaries industry. The structure incorporates the tetramethyltriisopropylamine structure, interacting and influencing with the polyurethane structure and polyoxyethylene structure in the main body, giving the product excellent wash resistance, breathability, and moisture permeability. The antibacterial softeners used in the synthesis are mainly for household fabrics and summer clothing fabrics.

Cosmetics industry: POLYCAT15-CAS6711-48-4 can also be used as an intermediate for synthesizing Bola-type amide betaine surfactants.

Safety and Storage

POLYCAT15-CAS6711-48-4 is corrosive and harmful. It can cause severe skin burns and serious eye damage. It is harmful if swallowed or in contact with skin. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, protective clothing, and eye/face protection is essential during handling. In case of skin contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes and seek medical assistance.

Store in a cool, well-ventilated place, away from fire and heat sources. Keep container tightly sealed.
