Product Features
Octodrine is a colorless to pale yellow, transparent viscous liquid with a fishy odor. It has a flash point of approximately 48.9°C and is classified as a flammable liquid. Possessing both lipophilic and hydrophilic properties, its aqueous solution exhibits alkaline characteristics. The primary amino group (-NH₂) in the molecule serves as its main reactive center.
Application
Industrial Fields: Various isomers are widely used as intermediates in the production of pesticides, dyes, pigments, surfactants, insecticides, stabilizers, preservatives, emulsifiers, and other products.
Specialized Fields: Octodrine is employed as a rubber accelerator.
Safety and Storage
From a safety perspective, it is irritating and corrosive to the skin and eyes, and contact may cause burns. Strict personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn during handling to avoid direct contact.
In case of skin contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes and seek medical assistance.
