Product Features
Dioctadecylamine is a white to off-white solid at room temperature. Its molecular structure contains two long alkyl chains, endowing it with excellent oil solubility, hydrophobicity, and surface activity. It is mainly used as an antioxidant in industries such as polyolefin production, and as a suspension stabilizer for pastes in the daily chemical industry to enhance product stability.
Application
Antioxidant: Used as an antioxidant in polymer materials such as PP (polypropylene), PE (polyethylene), and polyurethane to help retard material aging.
Suspension Stabilizer: In the daily chemical industry, it serves as a suspension stabilizer in products such as creams and toothpaste, preventing the sedimentation of solid particles and ensuring uniform product texture.
Safety and Storage
From a safety perspective, it is irritating and corrosive to the skin and eyes, and contact may cause burns. Strict personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn during handling to avoid direct contact.
In case of skin contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes and seek medical assistance.
Stored in a sealed container in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from sources of ignition, heat, and oxidizing agents, and separated from incompatible substances such as acids.
