Product Features

 

The primary amino group (-NH) in the molecular structure of OPA-ME endows it with basicity and enables it to react with acids to form salts. The ether linkage (-O-) in the molecule enhances its hydrophilicity and solubility in organic solvents.

OPA-ME can serve as a precursor or component of cationic surfactants, and is applied in mineral flotation and other processes. It boasts a broad range of applications and exhibits application potential across fields spanning from traditional dye intermediates to emerging electronic chemicals.




Application

 

Dye IndustryThis is the most traditional and primary application of OPA-ME, which serves as a synthetic intermediate for Disperse Red 90.

Electronics IndustryIt acts as a component of etchants and cleaning agents for semiconductors and chips, and is also used as a carbonic acid neutralizer.

Water Treatment & Oilfield ChemicalsIt functions as an intermediate for corrosion inhibitors, bactericides, and oilfield chemicals.

Mineral FlotationIt is employed as a cationic collector in the mineral processing process.




Safety and Storage

 

From a safety perspective, OPA-ME is irritating and corrosive to the skin and eyes, and contact may cause burns. Strict personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn during handling to avoid direct contact.

In case of skin or eyes contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes and seek medical assistance.

Stored in a sealed container in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from sources of ignition, heat, and oxidizing agents.Store separately from incompatible substances such as acids.
